Search giant Google today offered a recognition by Doodle artwork in a tribute to Salim’s painting style and a festival of her well-established commitments to the art world.

Naziha Salim was an Iraqi painter, teacher and one of the most compelling artists in Iraq’s contemporary art scene. Her work frequently portrays provincial Iraqi ladies and labourer life through striking brush strokes and distinctive tones. On this day in 2020, Naziha Salim was highlighted by the Barjeel Art Foundation in their assortment of female specialists.

Naziha Salim was born into a family of Iraqi artists in Turkey to paint the scene. Her dad was a painter, and her mom was a talented embroidery artist. All three of her siblings worked in artistic expression, including Jawad, generally viewed as one of Iraq’s most influential sculptors. From the beginning, she appreciated making her art.

Naziha Salim enlisted at the Baghdad Fine Arts Institute, where she concentrated on painting and graduated with outstanding excellence. Because of her persistent effort and enthusiasm for art, she was one of the first women awarded a scholarship to continue her education in Paris at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. Naziha Salim ultimately got back to Baghdad to work at the Fine Arts Institute, where she would educate until retirement.
